Player unit AI mod?

Is there an AI mod for Mechcommander GOld for the player's units to make them act more like the computer?
Specifically, I'd like it so that if I order a unit to attack the enemy Awesome, Warhawk (can't spell the IS name), or Hollender at short range, it will make all attempts to stay inside the range of their guass or ER PPCs, and if I order my units to attack the enemy Hunchback at long range, it will stay out of the range of the heavy autocannons.

The computer doesn't seem to have any problem doing that to MY units, why don't the orders for short or long range work for me?

I can understand having to give the short, medium or long range order, but once given, I should be able to turn my attention to another unit.
